VirtualLogix Founder to Present Advancements in Virtualization for Mobile Industry at Linuxworld 2008

Michel Gien to Discuss How Embedded Virtualization Technology is Helping Create the Next Generation of Mobile Handsets

WHAT:As the use of virtualization in embedded systems continues to rise, organizations face the unique challenges these environments pose. In the presentation, “Real-Time Virtualization for the Connected World: From Back-End Datacenters to Front-End Devices,” Michel Gien, founder of VirtualLogix™, will explore the distinct difference between traditional data center virtualization and real-time virtualization for embedded devices. Gien will outline the benefits and challenges of incorporating real-time virtualization into embedded device designs and provide real-life examples to illustrate how it is speeding the adoption of open source technology, such as Linux, in connected devices.

Prior to this presentation, Gien will participate in a panel discussion on embedded virtualization. The panel will examine the drivers for adoption of virtualization in embedded and mobile applications, explore how embedded virtualization differs from its enterprise counterpart and address the issue of real traction and adoption trends for this technology in emerging intelligent devices designs.
