C5™ 2.1 is based on ChorusOS™ Operating System Open Source from Sun Microsystems. This document may contain the terminology 'ChorusOS' where 'C5' should be read. However, in most cases, remaining occurences of 'ChorusOS' and 'chorus' are meaningful in text elements such as pathnames, file names, screens, computer outputs.

The C5 2.1 System Administrator's Guide provides a single source of information for managing an installed C5 system.

This Guide contains information on using the C5 2.1 product and includes configuring and tuning information, with instructions on the configuration of the system image. The setting up and sharing of file systems are also explained.

The Guide gives full explanations of network commands and daemons, and advice on setting up the C5 operating system for Ethernet and for PPP.
